Des O’Callaghan
Des is a co-founder and director of SPV Healthcare and is an experienced pharmaceutical professional with 25+ years’ industrial experience in managing technical programmes in the areas of pharmaceutical formulation, manufacturing, process development and optimisation; regulatory filings for clinical and commercial products; intellectual property and validation. Des is a highly motivated problem solver via team focused delivery with broad experience of multidisciplinary teams from within pharmaceutical companies, contract manufacturing organisations and contract research organisations.
Des is founder of a contract formulation development company which has been successfully trading since 2000. During this time Des has developed and optimised pharmaceutical formulations and manufacturing processes, including oral solid dosage forms, immediate release and sustained release dosage forms, unit processes including granulation, roller compaction, spheronisation, comminution, tableting, encapsulation, immediate release and sustained release coatings. Des has also collaborated on ventures to develop regulatory dossiers and IP strategies.

Stephen Costello
Stephen is a co-founder and director of SPV Healthcare and has 15 years’ experience in the healthcare industry in all areas of product development and life cycle management.
Stephen is experienced in developing products in the regulatory classes of pharmaceutical, medical device and cosmetic as well as strategies for product life-cycle management.
Stephen holds degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and is a member of associated professional bodies. Stephen is a chartered chemist. To advance his commercial knowledge, Stephen has studied business, finance and contract law and holds qualifications from ACCA.
